Abstract:Objective: To evaluate the effect of Baliao point localization combined with C-arm guidance on the efficiency of sacral nerve puncture. Methods: From January 2021 to October 2023, 62 patients undergoing sacral nerve radiofrequency were enrolled from the pain department of China-Japan Friendship Hospital. They were divided into Control group (n = 31) or Combination group (n = 31) according to the random number table. The control group was treated with traditional C-arm guided puncture, while the combined group was treated with C-arm guided puncture based on Baliao acupoint positioning. The puncture time and C-arm fluoroscopy times of sacral 1 nerve ( S1 ), sacral 2 nerve ( S2 ), sacral 3 nerve ( S3 ) and sacral 4 nerve ( S4 ) were recorded respectively, and the amount of ionizing radiation received by patients was evaluated by personal radiation dose tester. Results: All the 62 patients successfully completed the operation. The puncture time, fluoroscopy times and the amount of ionizing radiation received by the patients in the combined group were lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The positioning based on Baliao point combined with C-arm guidance can shorten the time of sacral nerve puncture, reduce the number of fluoroscopy, improve the efficiency of surgery, and reduce the amount of radiation received by patients.
