A 63-year-old female patient was admitted for 2 years’ intermittent pain on the right face. Complete relevant examinations before surgery. The patient is in good condition and can tolerate craniotomy. Analyse the patient"s foramen ovale with thin layer CT of the skull base, analyse the patient"s responsible blood vessels with magnetic resonance imaging. Both craniotomy and minimally invasive surgery are optional. The patient requested percutaneous balloon compression. During the surgery, the balloons were filled and then burst for 6 times. After the surgery, review the patient"s skull base CT again. It was found that there is a small bone spur on the edge of the foramen ovale on the inner surface of the skull base, which was an abnormal anatomical structure of the patient. This case is indeed rare and is hereby reported.
