Abstract:Objective To compare the efficacy of ultrasound-guided injection of dexamethasone palmitate (a mixture of hormones and local anesthesia) in the treatment of cervical pain by blocking 2 nerve roots combined with acupuncture at the stimulating point and ultrasound alone in the treatment of cervical pain. Methods Thirty patients with cervical pain admitted to the pain Department of Nanjing Maternal and Child Health Hospital from November 2020 to August 2021 were retrospectively analyzed and divided into a combination group (15 cases) and a reference group (15 cases) according to the treatment plan. The degree of headache, duration of headache, frequency of headache, bilateral vertebral artery flow before and after treatment were compared, and the effective rate of the two groups was evaluated. Results The combined group was significantly better than the reference group in improving the degree of headache, the duration of headache, the frequency of headache and the blood flow of bilateral vertebral arteries, P < 0.05 before and after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant. Conclusion Ultrasound-guided cervical 2 nerve root block combined with acupoint acupuncture is a safe and effective way to treat cervical pain, and its long-term efficacy is worthy of recognition.
