Abstract:Objective: To retrospectively analyze the feasibility of patient-controlled intravenous analgesia (PCIA) in the treatment of refractory cancer pain at home. Methods: 37 patients with cancer pain treated with PCIA in the Aviation General Hospital of China Medical University were analyzed retrospectively. The feasibility and safety of PCIA in the treatment of refractory cancer pain at home were evaluated by analyzing the basic data of all patients, analgesic effect, medication, adverse drug reactions and the safety of PCA pump. Results: the total satisfaction of PCIA home analgesia was 94.5%. There was no significant difference between patients' satisfaction with pain control during hospitalization and home treatment. Conclusion: PCIA home treatment of refractory cancer pain is safe and feasible, and home analgesia will be the direction of refractory cancer pain treatment.
