Abstract:Objective: To observe the efficacy of ultrasound-guided periinguinal drug injection in the treatment of postoperative chronic pain in inguinal hernia. Methods: A total of 56 patients with chronic pain in the inguinal region after inguinal hernia surgery were reviewed in the pain clinic of our hospital from September 2019 to September 2021. Pain relief was evaluated 24 hours, 1 week, 2 weeks and 4 weeks immediately after treatment by visual analogue scale (VAS) before treatment Results: Compared with before treatment, pain relief was obvious after ultrasounds guided periinguinal canal drug injection. Compared with 24h, 1 week, 2 weeks and 4 weeks immediately after treatment, VAS scores before and after treatment showed statistically significant difference (P< 0.05). Conclusions: Ultrasound-guided periinguinal drug injection in the treatment of chronic pain after inguinal hernia has obvious pain relief and stable short-term efficacy. Moreover, ultrasound-guided drug injection is accurate and safe, and can be used as an effective clinical treatment for chronic pain after inguinal hernia.
