Abstract:Non-Steroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs, as the most basic agents, are widely used in cancer pain treatment. With the accumulation of experience in medication therapy, the common sense about “Three ladders pain analgesic” needs to be re-evaluated. New evidence indicates NSAIDs alone may not be inferior to the “NSAIDs-weak opioids” combination in moderate cancer pain. Meanwhile, risks/benefits are open to questions for the long-term use of “NSAIDs-opioids” combination. Individualized medication and drug compatibility issues still remain to be focused for better rational use of drugs.
