Abstract:【】 Objective:To observe the level change of of VEGF, IL-6, IL-1β and TNF-α in synovial fluid of patients with knee osteoarthritis that given by injection of ozone water. Methods: 98 cases of knee osteoarthritis were collected and randomly divided into control group (49) and experimental group(49). The compound betamethasone and ozone water with a concentration of 20 ug/ml was respectively injected into articular cavity for control and experimental group, once a week, a total of 3 weeks. The levels of VEGF, IL-6, IL-1β and TNF-αin synovial fluid were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) before and one week after treatment. The Lysholm score of knees were recorded at two time point, the effective rate of both groups were compared one month after treatment. Results: There was no significant difference in the levels of VEGF, IL-6, IL-1β, TNF-α and Lysholm score of knee both groups before treatment (P>0.05). The levels of VEGF, IL-6, IL-1β and TNF-αin the synovial fluid of the two groups were lower than those before the treatment (P<0.05),The Lysholm score of both groups after treatment were increased than before. The levels of VEGF, IL-6, IL-1, TNF-αand Lysholm score were not significantly different (P>0.05). Conclusion: The levels of VEGF, IL-6, IL-1β and TNF-α can significantly increased in synovial fluid of patients with knee osteoarthritis by injection of ozone water that inhibit the inflammatory response in articular cavity.
