Abstract:Objective: To study the influences on intraocular pressure and skin temperature after stellate ganglion block and irradiation of polarized light, and to clarify the similarities and differences of the two methods. Methods: 50 pain clinic patients were assigned randomly to two groups,SGB group(25 cases) and SGL group(25 cases).Intraocular pressure and skin temperature of both sides were meagured using YZ7A pitting intraocular pressometer and UY200M temperature monitor. Results: The intraocular pressure of SGB group and SGL group showed significant differences after 10 minutes of the operation(P<0.05),and showed no significant differences at other points of time(P>0.05) .The skin temperature of two groups showed significant differences after 5 minutes of the operation(P<0.05),and very significant differences after 10 and 15 minutes(P<0.01),and no significant differences at other points of time(P>0.05).Conclusion: After SGB and SGL,the intraocular pressure was rise up temporary then came down, and temperature of skin was rise up.Influences of SGB and SGL on intraocular pressure and temperature of skin were similar, and the clinical effects of the two methods were basically the same.
