Abstract:Objective: To study the effects of analgesia after cesarean section on the concentration of sIgA in human colostrum. Methods: The times of the first colostrum production were recorded and the sIgA content in the first colostrum,24 h and 48 h colostrum were determined in 30 cases primipara of normal labor(NL) and cesarean section(CS) and analgesia after cesarean section(CS-A).Results: The order of time in the first colostrum production were CS group > CS-A group >NL group(P<0.05).The sIgA contents of colostrum were NL group > CS-A group >CS group(P<0.05).Those in 24 h colostrum in CS group was significantly less than NL group and CS-A group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference of those in 24 h colosfrum among three groups(P>0.05).Conclusion: The cesarean section could delay the production of human colostrum and reduce the sIgA content in human colostrum in primipara, but they could be improved by analgesia after cesarean section.
