Objective: To study the effect and safety of neurotropin in the treatment of phantom limb pain after amputation. Methods: A total of 17 cases of phantom limb pain after amputation were treated with neurotropin. The visual analogue scales(VAS) were measured before and after the treatment. Results: The pain intensity was significantly decreased in the patients after the treatment (P<0.01). No serious side effect was found.Conclusion: Neurotropin is effective and safe in the treatment of phantom limb pain after amputation.
