Abstract:Objective: To observe the efficacy of neurotropin and carbamazepine in the treatment of post herpetic neuralgia. Methods: Thirty patients with post herpetic neuralgia were randomly divided into neurotropin group and carbamazepine group. Before and after treatment, symptoms and signs of neuropathy including pain and numbness were observed. Results: The improvement rate of pain and numbness of neurotropin group was significantly better than those of the carbamazepine group. Conclusion: Neurotropin is safe and effective in the treatment of post herpetic neuralgia,and is better than carbamazepine.
