Abstract:Objective: The present study was designed to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of applying the method of low-dose amitryptiline for prophylaxis and treatment of migraine. Methods: Random , single blind, using amitryptiline as experiment groups of 168 , sibelium as control groups of 126. Duration of treatment lasted for three months, the evaluation of effectiveness was made 3,6,9 months after the treatment. Results: The treatment efficacy of the groups of amitryptiline was significantly better than the group of sibelium (P <0. 001 ) , and the aversive responses were. And the prophylaxis effectiveness of the group of sibelium have the same effect of placebo, no treatment function. Conclution: Low-dose amit-ryptilne have the certainty effectiveness in treatment migraine. Furthermore, less side effects, safety, cheap, no psychological dependence, simultaneity can be improved sleep and readjust emotions. Which set up a new way to treatment of migraine.
