patients undergoing abdominal surgery were randomly and evenly allocated to two groups. The effect of transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation (TEAS) on hemodynamics and electroencephalogram in the patients undergoing 1MAC sevoflurane anesthesia were observed in response to skin incision. The results showed that TEAS enhanced 1MAC sevoflurane anesthesia in mantaining hemodynamic stability and inhibited the stress response to skin incision. There was no change on electroencephalogram.
