Abstract:Objective: To investigate the attitude of the pregnant women toward labor analgesia. Method: One hundred pregnant women who were going to accept labor analgesia took part in the investigation. They were asked to fill the same uniform questionnaire before and after labor. Result: Before labor analgesia, 91% pregnant women thought the labor pain was unbearable and they were nervous and frightened; 88% pregnant women required labor analgesia urgently; 75% pregnant women worried about whether the labor analgesia would have influence on their infants. After the labor analgesia, 97% pregnant women were very satisfied with the pain relief effects; 95% pregnant women considered labor analgesia was very necessary. Conclusion: It is very necessary to develop the labor analgesia safely and effectively. Labor analgesia is also an important and necessary part of labor health.
