Abstract:Aim: This work was carried out to study the influence of stellate ganglion block(SGB) with different drugs on cellular immunity. Methods: 24 adult patients with sympathetic and/or vertebral arterial type spondylosis were selected. They were randomly divided into 4 groups and received SGB once a day for 7 days by the route of paratrachea. The rosette rate of red blood cell C 3b receptor (RBC C 3b R) and red blood cell immune complex (RBC IC) as well as the activity of NK cell were measured respectively before and after SGB. Results: group LVB (lidocaine vitamin B) and LNS (lidocaine normal saline) significantly enhance the cellular immunity, Group LVB inhibit the NK cell activity simultaneously. Group VB and NS have no obvious effects on the cellullar immunity. Conclusion: Local anesthetic (lidocaine) plays a critical role in the effect of SGB on the cellular immunity. The vitamine B 6 and B 12 seem not necessary in this regard. The depressive effect on NK cell activity should be paid attention to during the clinical use.
