Abstract:The purpose of this study was to compere the effects of computerized mediumfrequency current(CMFC)and dynamic interference current(DIC)on pain threshold. Thirty cases were randomly divided into 3 groups:control group,CMFC group and DIC group(10 persons in each group). Pain threshold increased significantly(P<0.01)in the CMFC group and DIC group following treatment. The pain threshold in the CMFC group increasedmore significantly than that in the DIC group 15 minutes after treatment(P<0.05).Thecontrol group demonstrated no statistically significant change in pain threshold. The resultssuggest that computerized medium frequency current is more effective in increasing pain threshold than dynamic interence current.
